I haven’t exercised in years – can I still start Pilates?
Yes. Pilates is the perfect exercise method to restart after a break. Our "Return to Movement" program is especially designed for it.

What is the best way to return to movement safely?

The safest way is step by step with a supported and specialised approach:

  • Start with private or semi-private sessions

  • Progress into small group classes

  • Move into regular group classes when ready

This allows your body to adapt while physically rebuilding, gaining confidence and trust in your body again.

Is Pilates good during perimenopause and menopause?

Yes—Pilates is one of the most supportive forms of exercise during this time.

It can help with:

  • Strength and muscle tone

  • Joint stiffness and aches

  • Posture and core support

  • Stress and nervous system regulation

It helps many women to feel more connected to their body again.

Is Pilates good for bone density and osteoporosis?

Yes—when programmed correctly.

Pilates can include:

  • Weight-bearing exercises

  • Resistance-based movements

  • Balance and stability work

These are all important for supporting bone health, especially after 40–50.
